Below are the various known types of creature Hive Vulcan could deploy. It is believed Hive Apollo is completely destroyed.
| Husk | Docile until roused by the presence of uninfected people. Mostly exist to spread the Apollo infection |
| Sentinel | Standard soldier, proficient with firearms and tactically adept. Regenerates damage from bullet wounds, needs melee strikes to put down permanently |
| Ravage | Husk variant with very large sharp claws. Dangerous melee opponent |
| Node | Usually surrounded by other lesser Hive. Emits an audible hum and has a very broad range of incoming and outgoing signals, suggesting it is a control unit of sorts |
| Apollo | A commander unit capable of transferring its consciousness between bodies. Capable of regeneration. All other Hive within an area shut down when the Apollo is killed |
